At CURA of Sweden, safety and quality are of predominant importance. Therefore, all our products have undergone a wide range of quality tests to ensure that both products and production lines meet high standards for health, safety, function, environment and working conditions.
All products from CURA of Sweden are CE marked, which means that both CURA and the manufacturers we work with certify that all products meet the EU's basic health, environmental, and safety requirements. The marking also means that CURA of Sweden ensures that our products comply with the requirements of relevant directives supervised by, among others, the Swedish Work Environment Authority, the Swedish Consumer Agency and the Swedish Medical Products Agency. nSTANDARD 100 is an independent global testing and certification system for textile raw, intermediate and finished products at all stages of production. All products from CURA of Sweden are certified with STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. It ensures that all our products meet high human ecological standards, which means that all textiles are free from unhealthy chemicals. nnEvery fabric, thread and padding in our products have been thoroughly tested and is harmless to human health. The list of banned chemicals includes both substances that are prohibited and have legally established restrictions and chemicals that have been scientifically proven or are suspected of having adverse health effects.
All our products are also certified MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX®, which ensures the same high standard as STANDARD 100. The textile product has been manufactured using sustainable processes under socially responsible working conditions. This gives consumers a tool to easily opt-out of products that are not produced in a sustainable or socially fair and responsible way.
EDFA stands for The European Down and Feather Association. The down in our CURA Pearl Premium down duvet is EDFA certified, which ensures that the down does not come from live animals. The down is also RDS certified, which means you can be absolutely sure that the down in our products is ethically produced and a by-product of the food industry.nnn
We use GOTS-certified cotton in our products, including CURA Pearl Classic, CURA Pearl Eco, CURA Pearl Premium, and CURA Cotton Duvet Covers and CURA Cotton Pillowcases. GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard and is an international eco-label for organic textiles. The label covers the entire life cycle from raw material to finished textile, with requirements for chemicals, packaging, labelling and distribution, as well as working conditions in the factories.
Our weighted blankets are registered as medical devices with the Medical Products Agency. The definition of what constitutes a medical device is governed by the EU Medical Device Directive and the Medical Devices Act. This covers a wide range of articles and products whose purpose is, for example, to prevent, alleviate and treat injuries and diseases.
