CURA Pearl Lyocell is a high-quality weighted duvet consisting of five layers. The weight comes from glass beads that create an even and gentle pressure on your body, which can help you relax and improve your sleep. CURA Pearl Lyocell is a cool weighted duvet and is perfect for the summer months or for those looking for a cooler duvet all year round.
CURA Pearl Lyocell has the MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX® certificate. This ensures that both the production and the product itself meet high standards of health, safety, function, environmental impact and working conditions.
CURA of Sweden recommends that you choose a duvet equivalent to 10–15% of your body weight. For example, if you weigh 70 kg, you should choose a duvet that weighs 7 –9 kg. This is, however, just a recommendation. The question of what weight to choose varies from individual to individual. If you suffer from serious sleep problems and/or anxiety, it might be a good idea to choose a heavier duvet.
The weight, pressure and embracing effect generates a variety of positive feelings that contribute to increased relaxation and better sleep quality for most people.
The outer fabric and soft filling are made of 100% lyocell. Lyocell is a ventilating material that is much more breathable than, for example, cotton and is therefore favourable during the warmer months of the year.Lyocell as a textile feels silky smooth and comfortable against your skin while having moisture wicking properties that keep you dry and comfortable all night.
CURA weighted duvets must be used for their intended purpose, and in accordance with the advice given during purchase.We do not recommend weighted duvets for children under the age of 3 since the child must be able to remove the duvet without assistance.If you suffer from seriously decreased heart or lung capacity, decreased muscular function, or heightened risk of pressure sores, you should take medical advice before you use a weighted duvet.
The duvet can be washed in a machine at 30 degrees. You can also clean the duvet by freezing it, either in the freezer or by hanging them up outside when the temperature is below freezing. This eliminates all mites.
CURA Pearl Lyocell TOG value 2.7.TOG (Thermal Overall Grade) is an international standard that indicates the insulating capacity of a textile material. For duvets, the TOG value ranges from 1-15. A lower value indicates a cooler duvet while a higher value indicates a warmer duvet.Which level of warmth that is right for you depends on various factors, such as your bedroom temperature or your personal preferences.
Our weighted duvet features 8 small loops, one at each corner and one at the centre of each side, designed for easy attachment of your duvet to your CURA bed linen. Fastening your weighted duvet inside its cover prevents shifting and bunching, ensuring a comfortable and uninterrupted night's sleep.
Due to an accidental mistake, the material stated on the label of this product doesn't perfectly match the actual material inside this weighted duvet.Rest assured, this weighted duvet contains 100 % lyocell and glass beads and nothing else. I really wanted to love this weighted duvet, but unfortunately it did not work for me. I chose the Lyocell/TENCEL version because I live in Rome, Italy, and I am a hot sleeper. The product is advertised as suitable for people who tend to sleep warm, which is why I thought it would be a good fit. However, after just one night, I woke up around 2 a.m. sweating heavily and had to remove the duvet completely. I slept much more comfortably with a simple thin cotton sheet. What surprised me most is that this happened in May, before the hottest part of summer had even started. Because of that, I personally cannot imagine using it during the summer months in Southern Europe. The quality of the product seems very good, and I understand that many people may enjoy it. Unfortunately, in my case it was simply too warm. On a positive note, the customer service was excellent. I had an issue with my order and the support team resolved it quickly and professionally. I might consider buying from this company again for winter use, but for spring and summer it was not suitable for me.
