In the summer of 2019, CURA of Sweden carried out a comprehensive customer survey among users of the CURA duvet, where, among other things, customers answered questions about their use of weighted duvets, their experiences of the product, and how the duvet helped increase the quality of their sleep and their state of health. We were really overwhelmed by the response we got!
A very large proportion (84%) of participants in our customer survey said that they had recurring sleep problems before they began to use a CURA duvet. 40% of participants had previously used medicine to treat their sleeping difficulties. When asked whether the CURA duvet had a better effect than the medicine, 21% said that the duvet had been more effective. Meanwhile, some 66% said that, after using a CURA duvet, they no longer suffered from recurring sleep problems.
A new study with the purpose of investigating the effect of CURA weighted duvets is being carried out at Uppsala University. The study is being led by sleep researcher Christian Benedict and professor Kerstin Uvnäs Moberg. The study has been approved by an ethics committee and the data collection will start as soon as Uppsala University has restarted its research activity which was suspended due to the Coronavirus.
