We all yawn. But according to a recent CNN report, that simple act may signal something much more serious: chronic sleep deprivation.
Tiredness isn’t just a feeling – it’s a risk factor. From slower reaction times to poor decision-making and long-term health issues, lack of sleep impacts nearly every part of our lives. And yet, millions still underestimate its true cost.
Insomnia affects millions of people worldwide, making it one of the most common sleep disorders. A recent study conducted in China has taken a closer look at whether weighted duvets can provide meaningful relief for adults with clinical insomnia. Here’s what the study found, how it was conducted, and why the results matter.
A Swedish study published earlier in 2023 has shown that weighted duvets or weighted blankets can help children with ADHD sleep better and wake up fewer times during the night. A new article from NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation) now adds testimonies, one of them by Silje Torsvik Eek, mother and board member of ADHD Norge Telemark. After her teenage daughter started sleeping with a weighted duvet, she soon noticed the difference: "Her sleep improved, which meant that she was more well-rested. She was able to concentrate much better at school and was more persistent with her homework after school."
