Each blanket is built from soft tubes of polyester jersey, individually filled with polyester fibre to give the knit its substantial volume and weight. Unlike thinner woven weighted blankets, this construction means there is no inner cover, no glass beads to redistribute, and no quilted pockets — the weight is built directly into the structure, evenly spread along every braided row.

The first thing you notice is the texture — soft, plush, and surprisingly cool against the skin. Polyester jersey has a smooth handfeel that mimics cotton-blend without the rigidity of woven fabrics, so the blanket conforms to your body rather than sitting flat on top of it. The chunky braids settle into the contours of your shoulders, hips, and legs, distributing pressure where you want it and falling open where you don't. It's a tactile experience that engages more than just sight.

Weighted blankets use a principle known as deep pressure stimulation (DPS) — gentle, evenly distributed weight across the body. DPS is associated with a shift in the autonomic nervous system from a stress-dominant state to a rest-dominant state, which can slow the heart rate, ease muscle tension, and make falling asleep feel less effortful. For many people, this translates to a calmer evening routine, fewer awakenings, and a more settled morning.

CURA of Sweden recommends a weighted product equivalent to 10–15% of your body weight. The Knitted Weighted Blanket is 7 kg, which suits adults in the 50–70 kg range. If you sleep with a partner, you can either layer it over a lighter duvet or pair it with one of our heavier weighted duvets — the Pearl Classic range offers weights from 4 to 16 kg. A weighted blanket is not recommended for children under 3 years of age, and it should always be possible for the user to remove it independently.

The Knitted Weighted Blanket is intentionally versatile. Use it in the evening as a calming throw on the sofa to mark the transition from the day's stress to wind-down. Drape it over your duvet during sleep for steady, all-night pressure. Wrap it around your shoulders during reading, journaling, or meditation. The chunky knit was designed with contemporary, neutral, and earth-toned interiors in mind. The dark brown variant pairs naturally with off-white or natural linen sheets, warm wood, and matte stone surfaces. Because the construction is sculptural rather than decorative, the blanket holds its form when folded — making it as much a styling element as a functional one.

Filling: 100% polyester fibre. Outer fabric: jersey in 100% polyester. The fibre is hollow-spun to allow air circulation through the structure, which prevents the blanket from feeling stuffy even when used as an additional layer over a duvet. To preserve the chunky knit's shape and softness, the blanket is hand-wash only. Do not tumble dry, dry clean, bleach, or iron. Spot-clean spills as they happen and air-dry the blanket flat to keep the rows from stretching.
