The CURA Pearl Down Lux weighted duvet blends gentle pressure with the softness of 1,000 grams of certified white goose down filling. With a premium blend of 90% down and 10% feathers, this down duvet offers a perfect balance of cloud-like fluffiness and soothing weight. Thousands of noiseless, hypoallergenic glass beads, sewn into square compartments, ensure even weight distribution for an embracing feeling all over your body. Thanks to its 8 cosy layers, this premium duvet provides warmth and comfort, ideal for the winter months or all-year use. Available in size 150x210 cm and two weight options: 8 kg and 12 kg.
To give you maximum fluffiness, the upper side of our CURA Pearl Down Lux duvet contains 700 grams of white goose down filling sewn into larger compartments to maintain its airy, cloud-like feel. The bottom side contains smaller compartments with a lighter 300-gram down filling to allow the weight's gentle embrace to come through.
CURA Pearl Down Lux is MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX® certified. This ensures that both the production and the product itself meet high standards of health, safety, function, environmental impact, and working conditions.The down and feathers used for the filling of our down duvet are sourced from farms certified to be compliant with the RSD (Responsible Down Standard).
The weight, pressure and embracing effect generates a variety of positive feelings that contribute to increased relaxation and better sleep quality for most people.
We recommend choosing a duvet equivalent to 10-15% of your body weight. For example, if you weigh 60-80 kg, a duvet that weighs around 7-8 kg should be just right for you. This is, however, just a recommendation. The question of what weight to choose varies from individual to individual. If you suffer from serious sleep problems and/or anxiety, it might be a good idea to choose a heavier duvet.
The duvet is machine washable at 40°C but should not be tumble-dried, as excessive heat can damage the down feathers and reduce the loft (fluffiness) and insulation over time.Since down duvets can take a long time to air-dry, we recommend spot cleaning with a down-safe detergent. To dry small areas, use a hairdryer on its cold setting.Regularly shaking and airing the duvet, especially in sub-zero temperatures, helps keep it fresh. This process allows the down and feathers to regain their natural elasticity and maintain the duvet’s plush feel.To eliminate mites, simply freeze the duvet by either placing it in the freezer or hanging it outside when the temperature is below zero.
CURA Pearl Down Lux TOG value 13.4.TOG (Thermal Overall Grade) is an international standard that indicates the insulating capacity of a textile material. For duvets, the TOG value ranges from 1–15. A lower value indicates a cooler duvet while a higher value indicates a warmer duvet.Which level of warmth that is right for you depends on various factors, such as your bedroom temperature or your personal preferences.
Our weighted duvet features 8 small loops, one at each corner and one at the centre of each side, designed for easy attachment of your duvet to your CURA bed linen. Fastening your weighted duvet inside its cover prevents shifting and bunching, ensuring a comfortable and uninterrupted night's sleep.

Goose down vs. duck down

Goose down is widely regarded as the highest quality for down-filled products and is typically found in premium options.
