Down is the soft, fine clusters found beneath the outer feathers of waterfowl. Each cluster traps tiny pockets of air, creating insulation that's exceptionally lightweight and breathable. We use a fill of 90% duck down with 10% small feathers, balancing loft with structure so the duvet drapes naturally over your body without flattening.

"Loft" is the term used to describe how high a duvet rises when laid flat — and it's one of the clearest signs of a quality down product. Our Fluffy Duvet has substantial loft from the moment you unbox it. Air circulates freely between the down clusters, allowing the duvet to feel warm without becoming dense or stuffy.

The outer shell is woven from 100% cotton with a tightly knit weave that's both downproof (preventing feathers from working their way through) and soft to the touch. The cotton breathes naturally and softens further with every wash, getting more comfortable over time.

Down's clusters trap warm air for insulation while allowing moisture and excess heat to move more freely than synthetic fillings — which is why a single down duvet often replaces both a "summer" and a "winter" weight in Nordic homes. CURA Fluffy Duvet's 1000 g fill makes it best suited to autumn, winter, and cool spring nights. The first thing you notice is the lightness — Fluffy Duvet weighs significantly less than a synthetic-filled duvet of the same size. The second is how it conforms.
