The CURA Fluffy Down Pillow is filled with 90% duck down and wrapped in 100% cotton — a premium pillow built for the kind of sleep that feels effortless from the moment your head sinks into it. Generous loft, natural insulation, and the soft, almost weightless support that down-filled pillows are known for.

Down is the soft, fine clusters found beneath the outer feathers of waterfowl. Each cluster traps tiny pockets of air, creating insulation that's exceptionally lightweight and breathable. We use a fill of 90% duck down with 10% small feathers — balancing loft with structure so the pillow holds its shape under your head without feeling stiff.

"Loft" describes how high a pillow rises when laid flat — and it's one of the clearest signs of a quality down product. The Fluffy Down Pillow has substantial loft from the moment you unbox it. Air circulates freely between the down clusters, allowing the pillow to feel warm against your face without becoming dense or stuffy.

The outer shell is woven from 100% cotton with a tightly knit weave that's both downproof (preventing feathers from working their way through) and soft to the touch. Cotton breathes naturally, wicks moisture, and softens further with every wash.

The 50 × 60 cm size is filled with 800 g of down — the standard square pillow used across Nordic homes. The 50 × 90 cm size is filled with 1200 g — a longer rectangular pillow for those who prefer a wider sleeping surface or sit up reading in bed. Pair with a CURA cotton or linen pillowcase for the full setup.

The first thing you notice is the lightness — significantly less than a synthetic-filled pillow of the same size. The second is how it conforms: down doesn't sit rigid under your head; it shifts and settles around your neck and shoulders, eliminating the cold gaps and pressure points common with foam or polyester. The third is silence — down has no crinkle, no rustle, no synthetic friction.

Filling: 90% duck down, 10% small feathers. Outer fabric: 100% cotton. Machine wash at 40 °C. Tumble dry low with dryer balls to maintain loft. Do not bleach. Do not iron. Air the pillow weekly to keep it fresh and lofted.
